Lifeforms are divided into type categories:
- Creatures, which are non-intelligent.
- Sophonts, which are intelligent.
Intelligence in this regard is more along the lines of a capability for developing advanced aspects of culture, as even non-intelligent creatures can be, in fact, very smart. Lifeforms are further classified by their morphology and their typoid.
